Sports Media Advertising Guide

ABOUT

ORHS Sports Media

Sports Media began in the spring semester of 2022 with a handful of students and a couple of sponsors. The idea was to give broader coverage of ORHS athletics through photography. Sports Media is now made up of more than a dozen students and creates 75% of the content, including photos, graphics & video, for the social media platforms of the Oak Ridge Athletic Department. Through Sports Media, Oak Ridge students learn how to produce top-quality media, how to meet deadlines, and how to work within a larger team. They also get hands-on use of industry-standard photo and video equipment and software and meet professionals working in the field of sports media.

Gameday graphics are produced in-house by our students and staff announcing every game that any Oak Ridge High School sports team plays. They have become the cornerstone for the ORHS Athletic Social Media pages.

Game Day Graphics- $850 per season

Advertising can be purchased for each sport season (Fall, Winter, Spring).
For Game Day Graphic, the advertiser's logo will be incorporated into every gameday graphic that will run the morning of every game in every sport.
Advertisers will also be mentioned in the byline of every game-day graphic.
Game Day graphics run on both Instagram and Facebook and have a maximum of four advertisers.
All full-year (fall, winter & spring seasons) advertisers will have their logo placed on the ORHS Staff Shirt.

Score Graphics reports the final score of each athletic event and will be posted after the ORHS athletics event. The Sports Media Team designs these graphics and posts them to the Athletics Social Media accounts.

Photo Galleries

Advertising can be purchased for the sport-specific season based on the sport's tier (see below for sport tier information).
Our photographers photograph every home game and most away games.
An advertisement, either provided by the advertiser or designed by Sports Media designers, will run within the photo gallery.
Advertisers will be mentioned in the byline of the photo gallery.
Photo Galleries will run on both Instagram and Facebook and be limited to a single advertiser per sport.

Award Graphics

Student-Athlete of the Week (SAW) - $1000

Student-Athlete of the Week honors one student-athlete for excellence in academics, as well as on the field.
Advertising can be purchased for the entire school year and is limited to only one advertiser.
The advertiser's logo will be incorporated each week into the SAW graphic that runs every Sunday.
Advertiser will also be mentioned in the byline of every SAW graphic post.
Student-Athlete of the Week Graphics run on both Instagram and Facebook.

Individual Awards - $750

This category encompasses a wide breadth, covering team awards (Player of the Game, Man of the Match, etc.) to district, regional, or state honors (All-State Player, All District Player, etc)
Advertising can be purchased for the entire school year and is limited to only one advertiser.
The advertiser's logo will be incorporated into every graphic for an individual award.
Advertiser will aslso be mentioned in the byline of each award graphic post.
Individual awards run on both Instagram and Facebook.

Signings - $500

Every player who signs to play their sport at the college level is given the option to have a graphic made announcing their signing. Sports Media creates these graphics for posting on the Athletics' Social Media pages.
Advertising can be purchased for the entire school year and is limited to only one advertiser.
The advertiser's logo will be incorporated into every signing graphic.
Advertiser will also be mentioned in the byline of each signing graphic post.
Signing graphics run on both Instagram and Facebook.

Digital Game Program Advertising

NEW THIS YEAR!
Every sport will have its own digital game program.
The program will contain team photos, rosters, schedules, opposing team info, district rankings, and more.
Programs will be updated with the most recent information each week.
Advertisements will be sold for the Fall, Winter, and Spring sporting seasons.**
Signage with QR codes to the programs will be displayed at all ORHS sporting events so all spectators can access them for free.
